Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
